What can I say about this one. I had two cameras (a digital and a film) right next two each other, both on pods, both snapping away. As soon as one exposure would end I would start the next one up as soon as possible. It was dollar movie night at the Wehrenberg theaters in town. You had to get to the theaters WAY early to get a ticket, so this was our second theater and it actually had tickets still available, so we had like an hour and a half or 2 hours or something to wait. I was with my friend Jay. So this storm started brewing, with a great view from the back almost parking garage area of the theater. I ran back to my car and got all my gear and came back, found my spot on the small grassy hill and started shooting.

My most fun moment in extreme weather photography. Its very easy to catch weather like that here in Missouri, the hard part is following the storm and getting a good angle on it.

Wish I could do a lot more weather photography like this.

I tried to capture lightning once & all I got after 300 or more shots was a faint bolt but this one is just amazing

tripod and long exposures! If you want to photograph lightning then a tripod or a flat steady surface are a must!

Excellent capture. Weather is very intriguing, as is all nature, because it just... well, happens!
